First time eating heat and eat rice and I was surprised that it was well cooked and tasted just the same as dry rice. The portion was not enough for a family of 5 so I assume I would need to buy a couple for a family meal. That makes the cost of ready to eat more expensive to feed a family. It would be great for emergency dinners or last minute meal ideas on the go or in a rush.

Hadn't really thought of using ready to heat rice but like the the mix with wild rice. A higher ratio of packaging (compared to dry rice) does discourage me from purchasing ready to heat brands. Would be good if the packaging was home compostable, then I would purchase it.

I enjoy ready to heat rice, but have to admit - like this Tilda one, they are all bland if you were to eat them on their own - I feel you have to add your own flavours such as tuna fish etc to them to make them tastier. I hadn't heard of/noticed this brand before so it was good to try it. I also like to use the ready to heat rice pouches to make fritters for myself and my kids. They are good to make for babies too turns rice into finger food! I add egg, grated cheese/ carrot, zuchinni etc

I have tried your chili and lime rice in the past and loved it but i would never of tried this brown basmati and wild rice prior to this black box sample. i have always found standard brown rice to be grainy and unpleasant but your blend was delicious. it looked nicer than i expected when i turned the packet upside down and could see it through the packet - maybe you should have a small viewing window on the front and i probably would have tried it earlier..

I like the idea of ready to heat rice, and have brought it in the past. I did not particularly enjoy the flavour of the wild rice. It was a bit too earthy, only 1 member of our family thought it was alright tasting. Also with a family of 5 and 3 of them being large eaters it becomes uneconomical to buy 3 sachets for one meal. I would like to try the other flavours though they looked interesting and could be nice for a singular lunch meal.

I make a special trip to countdown each week to specifically buy tilda rice as pak nsave Westgate does not stock it. It’s the only brand I eat and I AMA bodybuilder do I eat a lot of rice. I love all the flavours and combinations possible for my meals. My kids love them too and have them in their thermos with meat and Veges for school lunches.

I planned to use the rice last night for dinner, had everything almost ready and then opened the rice ready to stir fry it and upon opening the packet it was mouldy. Expiry was 03 2020 however because it was quite moist in the packet I feel this is the reason it was mouldy. Not very good

I received another Tilda type in a previous black box - and have purchased a few of these for quick meals when I run out of time to cook from scratch

I recently saw these in Coles while I’m holiday in Australia- we ended up getting some for dinners and the kids loved them. We recognised it because of the black box.

I relly enjoyed the taste

I see these in countdown and they are cheaper than the usual products I buy so was glad to try and find the product is ok. I didn't want to buy it if it was yuck. Its got quite a varied range too. Will buy again.

I so enjoyed the Tilda brown basmati and quinoa rice I received I brought four more. Three different from what I received

I tend to just cook rice from scratch

I think the oil used to stop the rice sticking gives it a really unpleasant flavour, and a dry mouthfeel

I thought it had a pleasant taste and wasnt dry or processed tasting

I thought it was a nice addition to my curry. I'm not sure if my kids and husband would enjoy it however

I try not to use these sorts of heat & eat products. When I do I tend not to heat in the plastic packaging.

I use rice like this at work all the time, hasn't noticed this brand, usually just get uncle bens, but the price is good with this brand and the flavors really refreshing and good with tuna

I use to think that brown rice was yuck but this was delicious. and such a great alternative to white rice! this will be on our shopping list going forward.

I used this in a brown rice salad and it was very easy and tasty

I usually by boil in the bag rice but these are just as good

I usually eat ready to heat rice for a quick lunch meals and the package size of Tilda rice was a bit too large for that

I usually use 'ready to heat' rice in single portion sizes, for lunches.

I was a bit concerned about the flavour as never having tried it before but it was yummy

I was pleasantly surprised on this product - would definitely purchase as I loved the taste and the health factor. Tried to buy it at my local New World already but could not find it so will definitely be keeping an eye out.

I was really pleasantly surprised at the delicious nutty flavour. I have to admit it didn’t smell great when I opened the packet but it far exceeded my expectations. I’ve never bought precooked rice before but I would buy this product

I was really reluctant to use this but felt I needed too because of getting it in the black box! My husband, mother and I loved it!! Will definitely be buying it!!

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I usually don't purchase prepackaged rice products but I can see that this would be a great lunch treat to take to work.

I was surprised at how flavoursome this rice was considering it was a ‘heat and eat’ product. So quick and convenient when time is limited. I can see us using this as a pantry staple when a quick meal is needed.

i was very surprised with the flavour of the product, i expected it to taste like plastic but it was quite fresh and 'natural rice like' in flavour

I will only buy Tilda due to price and rice options

I would love the convenience of a heat and eat rice product, particularly a healthy one like this. But I can’t bear the idea of all the plastic packaging waste. If the packaging was reusable I would purchase

I would prefer to cook my own rice rather than have rice sent to England then back to New Zealand

I’m always a big fan on rice and this product was delish. Even my son loved it

I’m the only one in the house who like brown/wild rice and always have a packet of basmati/Jasmine ready to heat packs for convenience if I’ve run out of time to make rice. My husband actually liked this which really surprised me so will definitely buy again, yay!

I’ve had this combination in salads in summer and forget that it exists. Kids not so keen on it but it’s good in summer salads as a base

Id love to see a flavored option. We really like the garlic rice by Tasty Bite for example. I like that this product has wild rice mixed in - great flavor and texture! I've now looked into other Tilda rice products too because I liked this alot

If these come in a larger size I would definatly be buying these again and again.

I'm happy cooking my own rice, so this is the reason this product does not speak to me.

I'm not a big ready to heat rice fan, however I needed something extra with my lunch and the convenience of it was too hard to resist. I would buy and keep a packet for those just in case times.

It is a fine ready to eat rice. However being a single serve means its not going to be used for a dinner. These type of ready to eat rice packs i have brought before and ended up never using. Convenience is good but nothing is as good as cooking it yourself.
