Canesten Antibacterial And Antifungal Hygiene Laundry Rinse Lemon

Love this product and have been using this for years. I use this in my fabric softener automatic dispenser of my washing machine and it goes through every load. Doesn't effect those in the family with sensitive/ skin allergies and gives peace of mind knowing clothes aren't crawling with bacteria. I normally buy the regular so lemon scent was a nice change.

Used it when washing pet blankets at the laundromat.

Excellent product, my boarder works with water, work clothes always damp and sweaty so this product is perfect.

I have an adult daughter who has extreme eczema. She really struggles with fungal and bacterial infections and this is a constant worry for her, because of this she has to be vigilant with her bedding and clothing - changing these more than less sensitive people. She really struggles with washing powders, and keeping her skin healthy. We find that using washing powders without fragrance means that sometimes her washing does not smell as good as it should/could. We used our sample of Canesten to wash her clothes. Im not sure if one wash is going to make a difference but it made her feel really good. We will def be buying this product regularly - especially if it makes her feel better about her self, and the hygiene of her clothing and bedding. I know that the price of this would put people off but if you were only using it for one persons wash - or for a certian item it could potentually last for ages.

I have been using this product for years. Was recommended it by a friend who is a nurse when my son was little. I use it on all of our towels, under garments and kitchen dish clothes. It has also been very handy for Saintsing laundry for rescue kittens/ cats. It is part of my washing routine.

I liked the smell but not sure how this differs from any other washing liquid. I would use occasionally if clothes need to be kept extra clean for wound care or other hygiene reasons but it’s a bit expensive to use with every wash.

Leaves clothes fresh and knowing it's removing any nasty bacteria and fungi is a big relief with children in the house

Guess it worked but prefer to use vinegar or hydrogen peroxide - much cheaper and effective

I thought this would make the laundry smell nice but it didn't. I will stick to my current fabric softener

I loved Canesten laundry rinse. I wanted to try it on our cycling and hiking clothes. Before using this product, no matter how much I scrubbed them, I couldn't get the funky workout smell out of them. With this, I just threw them straight in the machine with my usual laundry powder and put the rinse in the fabric softener holder. As soon as I opened the machine I knew I was onto a winner - the clothes smelled fresh and clean (a miracle!). I have purchased more already because I never want to be without this product.

Love this brand and product. Great for getting rid of any nasty smells after the gym and helps keep the towels sanitised and clean.

Smells nice. The brand makes me think of thrush rather than laundry so will stay with my current brand.

Didn’t really notice any difference to the washing. Gives peace of mind to things like underwear or when there is fungus infections about.

Never used something like this before. Seemed to work quite well. Smelt nice.

I’ve used the original variety since I trialled it in a Black Box and love the peace of mind it gives me, especially having a young child who will no doubt experience illnesses. It’s great for preventing cross-contamination and works well as a fabric softener for our towels as well. I will now use either this or the original version.

Used this when washing our sports teams gear (which stank!). Clothes came out smelling clean, probably wouldn't use for "normal" loads of laundry but keep for gym clothes / if we were sick etc

Great to use when there is a vomiting bug to make sure everything is very clean. I’ve used the original before but the lemon makes everything smell great.

Washing smells and feels cleaner

We recently got hit with covid in our house, so washing some bedding etc that was used face a huge sense of relief and load of washing came out smelling great, have already repurchased as we are still in iso. Not something I would use daily but just when washing needs that extra oomph of clean

Don’t like to use a lot of antibacterial products regularly. But sometimes the washing machine and towels get a horrible musty smell and this product left the towels smelling so fresh.

I don't believe in antibacterial or antifungal products as a rule. Many antibacterial products contain antibiotics (like triclosan in toothpaste). Using antibacterial or antifungal products will create resistant bacteria or fungi. I used to be a mirobiologist/plant pathologist. Anyway, a plain old item like bleach, salt or silver nitrate type products are ok as they kill. Since I had a sample, I used it in the towel wash as the towels didn't smell fresh after a wash and drying in the sun. Pleasantly surprised to find the towels smelt great! Will buy to use in case anything gets that damp smell.

Have purchased previously when there has been illness in the family to wash bedding/towels etc. An added cost though to be using in every wash when the cost of living already seems so high at present.

Removed the smell of cooking oil (ghee) out of my kitchen dish towels. Towels felt clean and fresh.

Used it on the dog bedding. Smelt neutral, dog didnt mind it. Hard to tell if it really achieves anything. Blankets were nice and clean - but was that the washing liquid?

This stuff is amazing. I tried it on my kids clothing (toilet training at the moment). They have little accidents. The clothes came out smelling so good!! I also tried this for my tea towels and I am in love with this product. I am definitely getting more.

I rate this product, it’s a fantastic in wash when you have laundry that’s a bit worse for wear or if you washing up after a member of the family that’s been I’ll. Never don’t have it in my cupboard

I used my sample of Canesten on a dark wash of everyday clothing & work clothes.I have used Canesten original for quite a few years on & off, but the Lemon I haven't seen or used before.

I used the samples to wash a load of kitchen cloths, tea towels and hand towels and I think its great! such a neat additive to have when washing those things that tend to get more bacteria than others - and it does leave a nice slight lemon smell too. Didn't affect the texture op any of the cloths/towels so its nice to know this doesn't make them go stiff or weird.
