Bourbon is not usually my go to alcohol to purchase. It is a favorite of my partner though. I had not actually tried it myself until I received a sample in the Black Box. I would actually purchase this for myself of my partner didn't buy it first. The mini bottle is also perfect for me as I have to limit my alcohol intake at the moment. This would do me a couple of bourbon and cokes.

Great if bourbon is your drink. It’s not my favourite flavour but was okay mixed with tonic water. The price is great and the size is convenient if you just want the one or two drinks.

+ PROS: Good price. Convenient to take in bag if only wanting a little to drink.
- CONS: Very strong in flavour if you’re not a fan of bourbons, in general.

Jim Beam has always been middle of the road, it's certainly not the smoothest whiskey out there but it's also not completely cheap and nasty. If you like whiskey on its own invest your money in something more refined but Jim Beam will always make for an excellent mixer.

Must say, I had not had a drink of bourbon for a lot of years. When I was in my early 20's and out socializing and having fun, it was my favorite drink, Bourbon and coke. So that's what I decided to do with this very fancy, Black Extra Aged Bourbon. Bought the smallest bottle of real Coke I could find and mixed myself a drink with ice, just like the old days. It brought back memories of some great times, parties and people that are now long gone. .. Thoroughly enjoyed the familiar taste. No doubt I did not do this Bourbon, the true justice it deserved. But I loved it, I seem to only drink wine these days.
