Golden Crumpets

If they have been around for soooo long why change. Will never ever eat crumpets again. Don’t deserve any stars.

Don't think much of new golden crumpet style in Australia. Just like inferior other crumpet brands now. Not worthy of more stars

The recipe, ingredients, or production method has changed recently, I suspect. This has led to an inferior product. Please tell me when a return to original takes place so I can resume buying them.

Love these with scrambled eggs or butter and golden syrup. We go through phases of buying these. Delicious!

WHY, WHY, WHY???? Why change the recipe and presentation. For decades our household has enjoyed Goldren Crumpets in winter. Come 2022, and they are different. Quite rubbery in texture and has lost the golden top. Who ever advocated the change needs a new job.

Place into a toaster & brown to perfection, then let it pop up & swipe that 'REAL BUTTER' across the smooth top of those cavernous holes & watch the butter/honey or Golden Syrup just melt into them like a well of golden goodness. Then BITE into that richness of crisp/spongey heavenly golden syrupy goodness ooze down from the corners of your mouth down to your chin. Can't beat it mate.

Crumpets are delightful any time of the day or night during the colder months and are a great snack for kids. Sometimes you can jazz them up from the ordinary spreads by making them like wee pizzas and putting them in the oven. I find they can get stuck in the toaster by kids who then can't get them out easily.

I love to eat the crumpets warm. I love the bite! Its a comfort food with the little holes holding all the yum spreads you fancy. Not ideal for the lunchbox though because my kids can't warm them up.
