Established in 1985, cloudy bay was one of the first five wine makers to venture into marlborough. With vision and a humble commitment to quality, its founder, david hohnen, a farmer who loved wine, dreamt of expressing the terroir in his glass.
Pelorus embodies the crisp sophistication of a new zealand premium sparkling wine: subtly combining fresh and fruity chardonnay notes with rich and savoury hints of pinot noir. This fresh, aperitif style sparkling wine adorns a pale straw colour and typical aromas of ripe citrus fruits. The deliciously crisp palate displays toasty, creamy complexity, enhanced by a lingering nutty finish.
