Basic Babe Boxtails Passionfruit Martini 2L 4% Alc/vol

Tastes like a fruit cordial drink - not much flavour. Great to know that there's not much sugar in the drink though. Box is appealing and would attract the younger market (i.e. late teens, early twenties).

Definitely not a martini or a premium product. It tastes like a budget "fruit drink" and occasionally you get a hint of cheap alcohol. I would only recommend for student parties, if it is cheap.

Packaging is bright and colourful. Looks fun and enticing. Flavour was average. Tasted a lot like raro.

I love this concept, I think it’s an appealing option for many people. Unfortunately I found the taste artificial, I was a cocktail bartender for many years so I don’t imagine that helped me as a consumer in this instance. But it is something I’d be considering if I was hosting a party.

The packaging was really nice, but the best before date was very close to the day I received it, so it may have impacted the taste. It was quite sweet, with a low alcohol content, but went quite nice when mixed with extra drinks.

This Boxtail has nice looking, well constructed packaging, and an easy to use push button spout, unfortunately that's about where the praise ends. Whilst it kind of tastes like a Passionfruit Martini, the flavour is very muted and only being 4% abv it also tastes very watery. When mixed with some passionfruit Gin it was almost drinkable...

I liked the idea of this and the packaging. Unfortunately due to the taste, we threw it away.

Tastes like alcoholic raro. If you like raro and want something alcoholic to drink you will love this

Past best before when i recieved so flavourwise it tasted like a watered down soap. Could only get thru half a glass

Liked the idea of an easy convient cocktail but not keen on the flavour. Plus it only came 1 day before expiry.

I liked it being low in sugar and calories. Packaging looked good, but taste was very average.

Not something I would enjoy on its own with ice. May be would like it better with some Schweppes.

I was really excited to try this, love the idea of a cask box with a pre made cocktail in it. Unfortunately the taste makes it not even drinkable. Tastes like a watered down cordial with an awful artificial sweeter taste, the only flavour there was was the taste of artificial sweeter. I like the fact it’s 99% sugar free but honestly I would rather have full sugar and it taste nice than low sugar and not drinkable. Good idea but really need to change the drink content as that’s the most important part. I wouldn’t buy this with how it tastes sorry.

Cocktail in a box? How brilliant is that! Seeing the bright colored packaging, I felt so excited in trying the boxtail! But I felt let down the moment I tasted it. There was not enough life in it and not enough kick in the drink.

I liked that it was pre mixed so it was super easy for a get together. It was close to the best before date so not sure if that affected the taste. I would have liked more passion fruit flavour

It was okay, but definitely tasted like cordial. Would be okay mixed with lemonade. Probably wouldn’t buy again. Not keen on the box, because it’s makes it harder for taking to a party/gathering.

By the time I received mine it had already expired. But only by a day or two so I thought I’d still give it a go. Not a great taste. Very artificial tasting and yet bland. Leaves a strange feeling in the mouth. And nowhere near as strong as a “cocktail” should be. This is just a poorly rebranded RTD.

Received however by the time I got to it which was only a couple of days after receiving noticed it had passed it’s best before date of 26th July. Tastes like cordial/raro. Horrible after taste and gritty. Definitely would not be a repeat purchase

Looked pretty, and I was so excited. Tasted awful, unfortunately. I tolerated it with some extra sprite, but unfortunately wasn't pleasant.

The packaging is pretty and the description sounds great, that's about where it stops sadly. It has a strange aftertaste, and smells almost musty. I tried mine chilled on ice and it tasted like old raro, I added some sprite which made it more palatable but overall sadly a big miss : (

I received this product on 26/07/22 and its best before date was 21/07/22. This is my first ever product that I received to review and first of all, bad impressions. Why would you even think of sending it? Secondly, the packaging looked like it had oil stains on it. I was looking forward to trying it regardless because it was sugar-free and I love a good alternative. THIS WAS NOT IT! The taste was weird and I had tried it with my flatmates who didn't enjoy it either. The packing looked fun but the experience and taste would be more for 18-year-olds looking for a larger quantity that was sugar-free and pretty packaging. The tap was pretty bad too and actually didn't even look like the one in the product picture. Mine was black.

Fun packaging is appealing, but the taste was too weird to enjoy. We sampled this with a group of 4 of us, half way through ended up mixing Cider with it to give it some flavor and fizz. Didn't resemble a martini flavor to us at all unfortunately. I wouldn't purchase this again.

Great colourful packaging, strange taste,

This beverage is a strange one. I love the packaging. Simple and sleek packaging which I love. Deviates from other 'goon bag' style which normally has a large cardboard box for the size of the beverage inside. However, the drink itself if not something I can see myself buying again. It has a very strange taste - not at all like a martini, or a passionfruit one at that. It has a very strong artificial passionfruit and vanilla taste. Leaves a bad aftertaste in my opinion. I shared some with the family and my mum sadly tipped hers out. Wasn't for her. Claims it tastes a lot like strong passionfruit cordial with water. Bleh.

I also think the name of the product is rather insulting (my partner also thinks the product name is "the worst") Do better. This won't be around for long. Only going to be bought by people underage. Came in nice appealing box that's easy to setup. Drink has really nice fruity aroma and attractive colour. However, initial taste is very off putting with strong chemical artificial taste. After taste leaves bit of sweetness lingering in mouth. Personally wouldn't try again until they change their formula

Nice packaging. I thought being passion fruit it would be almost sickly sweet but it’s not. In fact it’s a bit watery

The flavour wasn’t pleasant. I’ve tried lots of sugar free drinks and this one scores poorly compared to others.

Convenient and easy to use but watery and lacking in flavour. Wouldn't recommend.
