Maggi Recipe Base Mexican Nachos

Easy and convenient to have in cupboard when needing a speedy meal.

I would use this more if it wasn’t so spicy. I could handle it but my younger children found it to spicy.

I had not tried this before as I tend to stick to what I know but this was good. I mixed it through minced beef with a can of mexican corn/beans and served it in wraps for the kids. They loved it.

Love the flavours of this dry mix and adding a tin of tomatoes just took this to the next level.

Really liked this - had a bit of a kick which was great (but then I am a mild spice person so suspect for fair dinkum spice lovers I guess). A very easy and quick meal with ingredients already in the pantry. I used Greek Yoghurt in place of sour cream as this was what I had in fridge.

Easy to use for all members of the family. We always used crushed tomatoes when making it. Make it mote spicy add tomatoes with spice in.

Mexican nacho

I used it with the Tostitos corn chips. Makes a meal that kids and adults enjoy. I would buy this as a good standby meal to make at short notice.

I don't normally buy recipe base packets, but the nacho mix was surprisingly good and very tasty although I would have preferred slightly more chilli.

Made nachos using this with the tostado round lightly salted rounds corn chips and it was a hit. Even with the two tennage fussatarians.

Taste is so good. No need to add some other flavourings. So easy and very convenient.

Enjoyed making this quick, well priced Mexican nachos dish with mince. Served it surrounded with the Tostitos round corn chips, covered with grated cheese and slipped under the grill to melt the cheese. Delicious 😋

Don't usually have nachos but was so impressed with the flavour will be putting them on the menu going forward. I used the Tostitos rounds (lightly salted) that came in my black box to put the nacho mix on - great combo

Super convenient. Adds a nice mexican flavour of cumin and coriander seeds to mince for nachos. Not very spicy but suited us, easy to add extra chilli if you like your nachos hot. Looking forward to trying again in different mexican dishes.

Less flavour than I would have expected for a Mexican dish. I followed the serving suggestion exactly. There should be an optional chilli packet to increase heat and flavour if needed.

So quick and easy to make tasty nacho mince. I followed the recipe on the back but i added a can of kidney beans as nachos have to have beans! Really nice flavour. Not too spicy. Just right!

Alternative Use: I did not need a meat dish, so instead I used this as a spicy potato flavouring - great! Chop chunks of unpeeled potatoes and add to a plastic bag with a slosh of oil and a spoon of this spice. Toss and bake - delicious!

I liked it but didn't follow the instructions as I don't see a reason to add corn starch (might have been to help prevent it from being to watery but we cooked ours for longer to help evaporate any extra liquids). Great for a quick and easy dinner, but we usually make our own mixture so don't normally buy these types of sachets.

Whilst it tasted ok I didn’t like the consistency. I wouldn’t normally put cornstarch in nachos cooked from scratch. I also think it has too much salt and it didn’t really agree with me.
