All four members in our family really disliked this cheese. My son and I do get a bit of a reaction to dairy but this product would not make me change from dairy cheeses to this product. I'll pass it on to my vegan friends.

All the cheese lovers in our house tried this. And unfortunately no one liked it. And the packaging was crazy! So much packaging it was hard to get into!

Alternative cheese is not for us. But great for those dairy free people who miss their cheese

Although I found I would not purchase this a family member with alergies tried it and was amazed

Although I wouldn’t buy it again, I would recommend it to a vegan. I actually gave the rest of the block to a Vegan

Cheese is made with dairy. if its not with dairy, its not cheese, just like its not Champagne if its not made in Champagne region of France.

Cheese is quite expensive so we generally go for 1kg blocks on special. Cheese is always consumed in our house whether it be in our baked scones, in our pasta bake dinners, in sandwiches etc. Because we don't have any special dietary requirements in the home I don't think we would go out and purchase Alternative Dairy Co specially.

Cheese taste was good, and recommended to a dairy free friend of ours. However, the packaging is a nightmare. It took scissors and a knife to get the plastic open, and then we had to gouge the cheese out because it was so tightly wedged in. Thank goodness we wanted to grate and not slice it for cooking, because it was a pile of rubble before we were ready to use it.

Definitely can tell the difference between dairy & non-dairy cheese. If we have to cater for a dairy intolerant guest, then we will buy this. Otherwise, we will stick to dairy cheese as they taste way better.

First time trying vegan cheese, good taste but I prefer dairy cheese

Firstly the cardboard outer packaging was quite hard to break through, then the plastic film wouldn't peel off. Once I finally managed to get the film off (in about 50 small inhalable pieces I'll add), how the hell do you get the cheese out of the tray?

Firstly the packaging was incredibly hard to get into. 7 minutes and a knife later I finally opened the plastic clear wrap. The flavour is just yuck. Yuck. The texture is weird. It smelt yuck too. I was looking forward to trying a vegan cheese with the planet issues, but will stick to normal cheese for now.

Found it had a very strong starchy aftertaste, like I'd eaten raw potato. Not for me. Shared with my work team and a few people liked it. I think it really depends on taste buds. Not one I'd recommend personally

I actually didn't mind the taste of this cheese, infact it was quite pleasant in a toasted sandwich. However I prefer dairy chedder so I would not likely purchase this again, unless I had a dietry requirement that I needed a cheese alternative, in which case I would be happy to purchase this one.

I eat vegan cheese quite often. I LOVE the Angel Food brand and this brand tasted gross in comparison sorry! So I won't be buying it again. Love the idea, was just the taste that wasn't nice.

I had hoped i would like this, but it it was a really strange taste and texture, kind of like coconut oil when it is hard. I couldnt even get the kids to eat it! Also very difficult to open the pack and get the cheese out, i only found the instructions on the box after we had made a mess of opening it

I have friends and their children that are vegan and/or dairy free so this would be good to have on hand for snacks for them. Nice to be able to offer guests with different dietary needs a good alternative.

I have never tried an alternative cheese before and unfortunately I wasn't a fan. The flavour was better when it was melted but it had a bitter aftertaste which made it unpleasant to eat.

I have recently tried a dairy free diet and tried the zenzo vegan cheese, I preferred the alternative Dairy Co. Sample so I'd purchase that If I wanted to continue buying Dairy free cheese. But in must cases is rather have no cheese at all than vegan cheese, it's much too rich for me.

I imagine this would be a good alternative for someone who can’t (e.g. allergies) or doesn’t (e.g. vegan) dairy. For me though I really don’t like it. The fact it is low protein is also a turn off. Just didn’t taste like cheese.

I love this vegan cheddar cheese. The portion size is just enough for single purchase to last.. though i hope this is affordable as we know cheese are not cheap in the grocery.. ill shift to this cheese if ur putting it in a reasonable and affordable price..

I really didn’t like the flavour. Our household eats tofu and dairy free products. We have egg and nut allergies so always open to trying new foods that cater for allergies. But I really didn’t like the texture and the flavour. Coconut oil was too strong for me. It wasn’t creamy which I expect from cheese. Sorry.

I think it's a fantastic cheese alternative if you are vegan. We are not and I absolutely love milk based creamy tasty cheese of any sort. I think it was the texture initially i thought was strange but then i grated it and was so pleased with how it turned out. So it was more the flavour in the end that put me off. I think too yeasty. I put it on top of wedges and grilled and was so happy to see it melted somewhat like a milk based cheese and my children loved it with one in particular saying "that cheese you used was the best". Funny as i didn't mention it was an alternative as i didn't want any pre conceived ideas.

I think the flavour was a bit too strong and fake. My children did not like the texture.

I think this product is a great idea and actually tasted pretty good. We are luck to not suffer any food intollerances so would stick to my normal brands but have friends that do so will recommend this product for sure

I was dairy free for a year or so - not by choice but because I was breastfeeding and my son couldn’t handle dairy when he was little. I love cheese boy you can’t call this cheese. I threw it out straight away it’s like weird tasting rubber and completely fell apart in the packaging.

I’m lactose intolerant and often eat alternatives. This tasted similar to normal cheese, this melted similar to normal cheese but it really wasnt to my liking. If there was more of us who were dairy free, id consider this one as an option. But for now, I just dont eat cheese

I’m sorry but this was not for me. I tried it, my husband did and son too. Not for us. But my mum kinda liked it so we gave it to her.

I’ve said I’d buy it but because my father in law is allergic to dairy. I would stick to normal cheese because our family is not allergic but I love the option and will share the sample with my in-laws as my father in law really misses cheese.

If I were catering for a vegan or dairy-free person I would definitely use this product. I used it to make pizza and also on top of some pumpkin soup. While it did taste just like a mild cheese, it didn't melt the same as normal cheese and unfortunately, the other members of my household weren't the biggest fans.

If we were vegan, we would buy in future. We are not vegan, and didn’t like the taste if we compare it to dairy cheese. It has a strong taste. I would recommend it to vegans though

I'm not a vegan, but can see how this would appeal if you didn't eat Dairy cheese as it wasn't too bad. Not as nice as standard dairy cheese. I imagine it's a good vegan alternative though. What was terrible was we couldn't actually get it out of the packaging without digging it out.
