Bean Supreme Marinated Tofu – Peking / Korean BBQ

As a Asian, tofu is one of our main sources of protein, and the texture just not what I expected, and the flavour was just so wrong, definitely not my thing.

As a family we tend to have 1 night every 1-2 weeks which vegetarian -the kids have eggs on toast & the parents have vegetarian wellness soups - we don't eat tofu sorry!

at a push, i would buy this product. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. predetermined opinion. i cooked it in a wok with plenty of veggies and spiced up the sauce with a bit of sriacha.

Hard to get into the packet. Needed scissors and a knife. The liquid was a bit tricky. Was it meant to be cooked in pan with tofu? I hope so! I absolutely loved this product but can’t find it in my local supermarket.

I absolutely loved this product, was amazing flavour and so easy for a fast weeknight meal. I just popped it in some bao buns with salad and was a very happy camper. I am excited to try the other flavour which I have not yet seen in my supermarket. My only note would be that the size is quite large, i would have preferred just one block of tofu rather than two - makes it more appealing for a single person mid week meal.

I am highly allergic to Soya products. I had to give this away to my veggie friend who made it into a Poke bowl and love it.

i am normally wierd with todu but i did like this (probably because it is marinated). It would be good to get more recipe insperation on the packet, because i couldnt find any bao buns in store and struggled to think what else i could do with it as i dont usually eat or cook tofu

I am not a huuuge tofu fan, though the marinade made it a nice alternative. My best friend however, is vegan and we are allllways cooking together and having to adapt things for her eating requirements, so she was thrilled to cook this with me for dinner !

I am not usually a tofu eater, nor do I cook with it. I did have some time in Japan when I ate it though so can cook with it. Having this product reminded me of that time and also reminded me of good meat alternatives. Although a little heavily sauced, I enjoyed the product and would buy again sporadically.

I had tried tofu once before in my l8fe before trying this product.. i was adamant i hated it and that it tasted like a dish sponge! I was very pleasantly surprised to find that i do like tofu! This was a whole different tofu experience and i would be happy to buy this again!

I have bought Bean Supreme Marinated Tofu before, but different flavour to this one. I prefer the packaging of the one I have had before (I have had GInger & honey flavour. I felt it had too much marinade in it, but it was still delicious

I have never cooked tofu before so this was a great experience but I think it would be beneficial if there was a recipe on the tofu or even if the Bean Supreme webiste had a few recipes for the korean bbq tofu

I have never cooked tofu in my life, but this was fantastic! We try to do meatless Mondays and I usually just do a vege heavy meal like Ratatoullie, soup, or vege lasegna, but this was a great alternative, simple to prepare and packed so much flavour! This will definitely be going into the meatless Monday rotation.

I haven’t cooked tofu before so this was a good opportunity to try it. Pack was interesting and inviting but the tofu isn’t our thing. I would recommend it to my vegetarian friends.

I never thought that pre-packed tofu can taste so good! The Korean BBQ tofu is so easy to cook and portion is great! Really good for an easy meal!

I really love the Korean BBQ flavoured tofu. Never had this before.

I really loved this product. Didn't have to drain the tofu like some products.It stayed firm when I stir-fried it and was really tasty. My only suggestion would be to perhaps have a serving suggestion on the labelling as I often am unsure of how to cook tofu.

I received Peking tofu in my hello fresh box not sure which the brand was but it was nice.

I was so surprised by how yummy this marinated tofu was. We usually buy bland tofu that has no flavour. However, this was super yummy and super easy to cook, immediately I have a dish ready to eat as soon as I heat it up. LOVE it can't wait to try the Peking flavour.

Struggled to eat all the tofu as family were resistant to tofu. Personally would buy if smaller portion available.

Thank you, my family now loves Tofu and we will absolutely be trying the Peking Duck flavour and if there is a plain one we'll have a go at making our own marinade flavour.

The flavour was great and texture

The flavour was less intense than I imagined. I’m not a fan of tofu so this would have been a hard sell for me at any rate. My kids weren’t keen either.

The Korean BBQ was really good. Now I'm really keen to try the Peking.

The Korean flavour was very yummy, the texture was very good. My vegetarian 20yr old really enjoyed it and doesn’t normally like tofu

The only time I cook with tofu is when I'm cooking Chinese foods and we don't use marinated tofu for those dishes.

The product was pretty tasty but we use meat as our protein most of the time. When using plant protein, I prefer beans, chickpeas and mushrooms over tofu for the flavour.

The rest of my family don't like Tofu but I do. It's a bit of a treat for me to be honest.

This didnt taste anything like korean bbq at all. The strong taste of the garlic puts me off and the flavor is too strong. The tofu itself is nice to eat.

This is the best flavoured tofu we’ve tried. They can often be too sweet. This was nice and we’ll definitely be buying regularly.

This was a suprise product! Having never cooked Tofu this was incredibly tasty!! I cut it into small cubes, fried till golden and stuck toothpicks in them for mouthful size bites when friends came over. It was gorgeous - am converted and will definitely buy this again.

This was just not our cup of tea - we struggled with what to do wth this (thank goodness for google) and it was a bit outside our comfort zone - we are greatful to have tried it but going forward, were not sure. I wish that we had been able to have shared with someone who does use Tofu as then you would have had a better review but alas no one we know uses it either! eek

This was really delicious. I was surprised. We liked the vege bits in the tofu too. I can see this going in salads, with noodles or rice. Our friend put this on the bbq, that worked well too.Usually we just buy plain tofu from the Asian grocery, but would definitely buy this again, price dependent.

Tofu is not anywhere near the top of my list of culinary delights but after having tried the Korean BBQ I was very pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to having again as a meat substitute in the not too distant future. And probably other flavours too.

Usually eat tofu in restaurants / take out food. It never tastes as nice when cooked at home but MAY try this again when better prepared!

Vegetarian in the house didnt enjoy as much as I did ironically. Had for dinner chopped up and fried in tacos. Then leftovers in a big salad the next day. Very nice.

Was a bit weird for us. We didn't know how to eat this. But did like the dense texture and the taste was different. I would only not buy it, because I don't really know what to compliment this with...we are this as a separate dish rather than a meat substitute.

Was a little unsure what to do with this - ended up cutting putting on skewers and throwing on the BBQ... different - but in a good way.. Will buy again and try it out at the next family BBQ

We actually have this ago we would never buy found it quite nice fried up and placed with couscous we would buy again told friends at work and then took some onto workforce them to taste
