Essano Mandarin & Aloe Vera Natural Deodorant

I really wanted to love this...but it wasn't as good as I'd wanted it to be. I had already detoxed my underarms before using this, as I've been using natural deodorant for months now. However the deodorant just wasn't effective enough to really protect against body odour, even on days when I wasn't doing much physical activity. It was easy to apply, however. It also had more of a fruity smell than I would usually choose for myself, but it wasn't overpowering once on.

Great to see a product without all the nasty additives, non irritating after shaving and applied smoothly, Great unisex scent. After high activity I did notice a slight sweat smell

I kept forgetting to do a sniff check after wearing this for a few hours, but I'm blessed with armpits that don't tend to smell so it didn't really have a hard job. It smelled nice going on - I liked the fresh fragrance. Not sure how long-lasting it was though. I like the idea of using only natural products.

Great fresh citrus scent and handy roll on application. As it is natural it does not have antiperspirant properties if you sweat quite heavily this would not reduce it. They say over time your body does adjust but you need up to 30 days do have to be aware of this, otherwise needs multiple reapplications throughout the day.

This was nice, i wouldn't use it again. I'm not a fan of the citrus smell as a deodorant. I would recommend for people who like the sweeter smell.

Smell nice, like the handy size but I found the roll to be a little bit too wet, I apply a little bit and feels like I need to keep my arms up for a minute to let the product dry itself before I can put on a tee shirt. Otherwise product worked fine, did not sweat

Overall I was not impressed with this deodorant. I had body odour after around 5 hours. The mandarin smell was not very pleasant to me either, but I will say that it was not wet or greasy feeling and ok for sensitive skin as I have sensitive skin.

It's nice to have a deodorant that doesn't try and smell like a deodorant. The fresh mandarin scent was appealing. I felt virtuous for using such a sustainable and natural product, but I was always hyperaware that it didn't feel that it would last for an entire work day.

Nice, light and makes me feel fresh during the first few hours of the day but doesn't last any longer than that. I usually use ones that have aluminum in them as I sweat a bit more than average so the essano deoderant wasn't effective for me unfortunately.

Gentle scent, easy to apply. But sadly not a fan as needed reapplying to often and I simply don't have time for that.

I am not someone who sweats a lot so for me I felt that this deodorant lasted the whole day and kept me feeling relatively fresh and confident. It has a nice smell and I was happy with the result. My daughter who is going through puberty found that it needed to be applied twice during the day in order to keep odors away.

Great natural deodorant which works perfectly in these colder months. It lasts the entire day and I'm not worried at all walking around only applying a thin layer in the morning. Would be interesting testing it out when it's warmer as to whether or not it still does the job. But so far so good!

I disliked the smell upon application, although found that it lasted well for me, even working out. I would likely try this in a difference scent if there is others available, but I wouldn't buy this scent again.

Smells really nice, & goes on well, but I found it didn’t last very long, so I needed to reapply more often than my usual deodorant

Fantastic smelling product, light application and recyclable bottle, overall loved it but probably needed to last a little longer than 4hrs.

Being active I’m use to using an aluminium based deodorant. I gave this one a good go, wing made aware of the readjustment period. Unfortunately this product is not one for me. It has a pleasant scent, smelling somewhat like mandarin. Rushing about with mum life I found I only got a couple of hours protection, which isn’t ideal at all. In the peak of summer would be catastrophic. I’d be willing to wear it on a “home day” but it’s likely my body wouldn’t adjust to using it off and on rather than a regular basis. If you were persistent rather then perspiring this may be for you.

Really loved this deodorant. I was a bit worried about the smell of mandarin but it was actually really refreshing. Wasn't sticky and easy to roll on. And best part didn't leave marks on the armpit of shirt

I liked this product. It has a nice fresh smell that isn't too strong. It didn't hurt after shaving and doesn't seem to rub off on to your clothes either. This product easily worked for me and lasted the day with one application. I think it would be perfect for your first deodorant as a young teen too, as it doesn't contain any of the nasties - I plan on getting some for my daughter.

I am not a fan of roll-on deodorant as it leaves some sticky residue and I don't really like a wet feeling on my underarm. However, the product is really good on its effectivity and it does not have that strong scent. It does not leave any lasting scent though as it does not smell good after a few hours; at least it does not smell bad.

Forgot to say It dries quickly and doesn’t run off on clothes. I even tried rubbing black clothes on it intentionally to see if there was any rub off - not a thing. Brilliant!

I was excited to get the Essano mandarin and aloe Vera natural deodorant as it is aluminium free - fantastic, and at $8 it’s pretty affordable. It smells amazing. It claims to work for up to 8 hrs but I had no problem with it lasting the day and a light workout, but it is winter so will be interested to see how it goes in summer. Thank you Black Box for the opportunity to try this, I will be adding this one to the shopping list.

I've used Mitchum for years but wanted to go aluminium free - so tried this. It works really well all day long, keeps me dry. It rolls on quite 'dry' which is actually nice. Great gentle scent and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - even after shaving.

I was extremely skeptical prior to using this product as I've tried similar products before without success. I liked the consistency (nice and light) and the smell was OK - it actually grew on me as I used it more. Trialling this in winter did mean I think it performed better than it would in summer - it has worked very well for me but I suspect would not stand up to a robust workout or hot day. That being said, I will be repurchasing to use this over winter because I liked the lack of nasties.

This has a refreshing smell, and as someone who doesn’t sweat a lot, it works perfectly well for my needs. I like that it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals.

This smelt so yummy! No residue after application and didn't sting! Which I have encountered with many others. However, lasting 'upto 8 hours' is not enough. I work 12 hour shifts, and want to trust my deodorant, unfortunately it didn't even last half that time.

I have to use clinical deodorant as post babies my hormones seemed to change my body odour! This deo unfortunately is just too weak for my needs but thats not to say it wouldn't work great I am a special case!

I have always been one to stick with the same roll on, ever since i very first started using deodorant. I have always struggled to find one to keep my dry all day. With 4 kids, a lot of sports and a full time job, i needed something that would last all day. I was a little nervous trying Essano Mandarin & Aloe Vera Natural Deodorant however i have now used this all week and i absolutely love it. Its very light, soft, smells devine, costs a little more than i would usually spend but totally worth the additional couple of $$.

As someone who uses other brands of natural deodorants I’ve been curious about this one. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan. It felt thick and a little sticky going on and the next morning it felt the same way to my surprise. The fact that it only lasts ‘up to 8 hours’ would mean it wouldn’t be of use to me.

I'm a lucky person who doesn't suffer from body odour, so never found any issues with this product. First impressions are it's a good size, feels nice and light to hold, smells amazing and feels smooth to put on ( not sticky). I love that it has no nasties

Smell amazing and gentle on my sensitive skin. I react to a lot of deodorants available in the supermarket but not to this one at all. Down side is that the smell doesn't last very long. Maybe half an hour or an hour at most. Luckily it's winter so I don't usually have smelly armpits but not sure if it would do well during summer as I do sweat a lot.

smells gorgeous, LOVE the mandarin scent, but it is ineffective, I ended up going back to my good old Rexona almost immediately.

Smells great but doesnt work! I had it on barely 2 hours and noticed its ineffectiveness and Im not soneone who sweats a lot!

I normally love Essano products but this deodorant is the exception. Smells kind of nice at first ( I still think the smell could be better) but you are lucky if it lasts for up to 4 hours! I have to constantly apply it to not stink and I’m not a person that sweats a lot..Totally regret spending 10 dollars on it! Never again

Just doesn’t work!! Expensive and useless. Sorry, not what I want to write, but ihopefully it saves someone from spending money on a product that doesn’t work!
